Roof Repair Smedway built its Commercial Roofing division around one idea: homeowners in Petersburg deserve a straight answer, a fair price, and a truck in the driveway fast.
Long before Roof Repair Smedway had a website, our lead foremen were already climbing ladders across Petersburg, ND, learning which underlayment holds up against humidity and which fastener pattern actually survives a coastal gust line.
We carry full liability coverage and workers' compensation, and every lead installer holds current state licensing, so a claim adjuster, a home inspector, or your own insurance carrier can verify our credentials without a single awkward phone call.
Roofing is a trade where shortcuts hide for a year or two and then fail at the worst possible moment, usually during the next hard rain. We build every Commercial Roofing job — big or small — the same way, whether it's a single shingle repair or a full tear-off.
Every lead technician carries current state credentials before stepping on a ladder.
Emergency lines stay staffed through nights, weekends, and holidays.
You'll see the number before any work starts, not buried in a final invoice.
Faster arrival times because the truck was already nearby.
By the time water is visibly dripping into a room, the damage underneath the surface has usually been developing for a while.
Asphalt shingles shed protective granules as they age, and a gutter full of grit usually means the surface layer is wearing thin.
Once a shingle starts warping, it's no longer sealing properly against wind-driven rain.
Climb into the attic on a sunny day — if you see pinpricks of daylight, water can get through the same gaps.
A yellow-brown ring spreading across a ceiling almost always traces back to a roof leak, even if the leak point is several feet away from the stain.
Energy bills that creep upward without an obvious reason are worth checking against your roof's condition.
Missing shingles expose the underlayment, which is only designed as a temporary secondary barrier, not a long-term surface.
Whether it's a single emergency tarp or a full system replacement, each service below is handled by technicians who specialize in that exact scope of work.
Active leaks after a storm get a same-day response whenever it's physically possible — a temporary tarp-down first, a permanent fix scheduled right behind it.
From a handful of cracked shingles to a full asphalt or metal system replacement, our residential crews scope the job against manufacturer specs, not guesswork.
Flat and low-slope commercial roofs get scheduled inspections in addition to repair calls, catching ponding-water issues before they become structural.
Replacement jobs include a detailed material walkthrough so you're choosing a system that fits your climate exposure and budget, not just whatever's on the truck.
Scheduled maintenance visits catch loose flashing and clogged valleys before the next storm turns them into an emergency call.
Specialized repairs cover ice-dam prevention, dormer flashing, and low-slope transitions that standard shingle crews sometimes overlook.
A dispatcher takes down your address, roof type, and the issue, then routes it to the nearest available crew in Petersburg, ND.
You get a plain-language explanation of what's actually happening, not just a repair quote.
You receive an itemized, written estimate before any work begins, covering materials, labor, and disposal.
A final walkthrough confirms the repair or install meets the agreed scope before the invoice is closed out.
Response windows are communicated upfront, not left as a vague "sometime this week."
Flat-rate pricing means the quote you approve is the quote you pay, barring a scope change we'll flag with you first.
Our installers train on manufacturer specifications for shingles, underlayment, and flashing systems, not just general carpentry.
If something about the finished work doesn't meet the agreed scope, we come back and make it right.
We've worked with enough adjusters across Petersburg, ND to know what documentation actually gets a claim approved faster.
Our technicians explain the reasoning behind every recommendation so you're deciding with full information, not a sales script.
Every Commercial Roofing project closes with a written warranty covering our labor, separate from whatever coverage the shingle or membrane manufacturer already provides.
Material substitutions or unexpected decking damage found mid-job are always discussed with you first — we don't add line items after the fact and hope you don't notice.
Our Petersburg coverage area extends across Petersburg, ND, and if your address falls just outside the standard zone, dispatch can usually still arrange a visit.
Because our crews already know the layout of Petersburg and the surrounding parts of Petersburg, ND, we rarely waste a homeowner's morning on a wrong-turn delay.
